Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics
The Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics (DGCI&S), Kolkata, under the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, is the pioneer official organization for collection, compilation and dissemination of India’s Trade Statistics and Commercial Information. This portal may be accessed to view the export data till the district level and can support in active decision making in export related decisions.
The DGCI&S compiles and releases monthly export & import data on merchandise trade.It also compiles and releases yearly data on inter-state movement of goods in India by river, rail & air; customs & excise revenue collections of the Indian union, inland coasting trade consignments of India and foreign coastal cargo movements of India.
Export/import data may be obtained through its web based system and on payment basis for private users. An user can login as a "Guest" User in our dissemination Portal linked to the Website www.dgciskol.gov.in and obtain data on payment basis . It is a query based system. After logging into the portal, one needs to select certain parameters for running a query like period for which data is required, data type (Export/Import), HS Code(Commodity)/Country etc. When one clicks on the
execute query button, a bill will be generated and displayed on the data users computer screen. Once the required payment is made through net banking / debit/credit card, data can be instantly downloaded in text / word / csv / excel / pdf formats
